Position Overview:

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment, delivery, supervision and evaluation of occupational therapy services to patients in accordance with the established physicians’ Plan of Care and in compliance with the applicable federal, state and Agency regulations, policies and procedures.

Experience and Skills

Job Requirements:

  • Successful completion of an occupational therapist education program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA) or successor organizations of ACOTE
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Illinois
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Valid Auto Insurance
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to demonstrate sound clinical judgement with minimal supervision
  • Ability to function independently, organize and prioritize
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and maintain a calming, professional presence in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to maintain organizational confidentiality, which includes but is not limited to information about patients/families, volunteers, employees, donors and Agency processes
  • Flexibility to embrace change and effectively shift priorities
  • Communication skills, verbal and written
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Computer skills

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1-year clinical experience, preferably in an acute care, home health, or rehabilitation setting
  • Knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations preferred
  • Ability to travel 100% of the time
