Position Overview:

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the assessment, delivery, supervision and evaluation of speech therapy services to Agency patients in accordance with the established physicians’ Plan of Care and in compliance with the applicable federal, state and Agency regulations, policies and procedures.

Experience and Skills

Job Requirements:

  • Masters or doctoral degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • Licensed Speech Language Pathologist by the state of Illinois
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Valid Auto Insurance
  • Minimum of 1-year clinical experience, preferably in an acute care, home health, or rehabilitation setting
  • Ability to demonstrate sound clinical judgement with minimal supervision
  • Ability to function independently, organize and prioritize
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and maintain a calming, professional presence in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to maintain organizational confidentiality, which includes but is not limited to information about patients/families, volunteers, employees, donors and Agency processes
  • Communication skills, verbal and written
  • Excellent time management and organizational skillss

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations
  • Flexibility to embrace change and effectively shift priorities
