Position Overview:

The 24/7 Response Registered Nurse (RN) provides patients, families and caregivers assistance by answering questions, resolving concerns and facilitating smooth access to care through effective triaging of calls, as well as making visits to assess and manage symptoms. This position coaches and educates families, patients and caregivers to ensure comfort and quality of life. The 24/7 Response RN is responsible for reporting symptom calls and interventions to the appropriate individuals.

Experience and Skills

Job Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Valid Auto Insurance
  • Minimum of 1-year clinical experience
  • Ability to demonstrate sound clinical judgement with minimal supervision
  • Ability to function independently, organize and prioritize
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and maintain a calming, professional presence in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Flexibility to embrace change and effectively shift priorities
  • Communication skills, verbal and written
  • Organizational skills
  • Computer skills

Preferred Experience, Skills, and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
  • Communication skills; verbal and written
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to work with people of all age groups
  • Knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, preferred
  • Minimum of 1-year clinical experience, preferably in an acute care, home health, or hospice setting
