Job Description:

The Digital Specialist is responsible for the daily monitoring, managing, and technical aspects of JourneyCare’s social media, intranet, website and mobile channels to ensure a user-friendly experience of these electronic platforms. Must be technically astute and forward-thinking to identify trends and troubleshoot digital platforms to fully engage and interact with key audiences. This role is critical to the functionality and operations of our electronically-driven engagement, reputation management and brand journalism strategies. Must have a complete understanding and use of video in the digital age to maximize engagement, growth, and reach for building online communities.

The Digital Specialist will report to the Director of Interactive and Digital Marketing Strategy and will be located in our Glenview, Illinois office.

  • Proactively manages/updates website and intranet with innovative and impactful content
  • Proactively monitors and responds to questions and comments from community members and potential consumers on social media sites as well as popular customer review sites (Yelp, Google, Vitals, etc.) to support JourneyCare’s reputation management strategy
  • Utilizes reporting tools to deliver monthly analytical reports on digital campaigns through (Google Analytics, SEO keywords, PPC, etc.)
  • Ensures the integration of mobile, website and social media content as necessary
  • Under the direction of the Director of Interactive and Digital marketing help execute strategies to increase brand mentions, engagement and organic search within digital platforms and email/digital campaigns/blogs, etc.
  • Ensures content is technically displayed on electronic platforms to increase searchability and user-friendliness
  • Executes JourneyCare’s marketing and digital plan to help meet the agency’s goals and objectives
  • Broadly distribute digital content to relevant organizations and targeted digital sites that are aligned with business objectives, strategy and goalsInterface with IT and outside vendors to ensure digital/website and other digital mediums are functioning (e.g. developers, SEO)
  • Provide basic video production and editing

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, multimedia, marketing or related degree
  • At minimum 2 years professional experience in graphic design, social media, website production, marketing design, mobile or multimedia
  • Strong technical background with multi-media develop (websites, intranet)
  • Demonstrated experience with and understanding of social media management tools including, but not limited to, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Meltwater, Hubspot or Spredfast
  • Strong grasp on various social media analytic platforms, with the ability to source and summarize applicable data
  • Basic understanding of Facebook Business Manager, LinkedIn, Twitter, and others as necessary
  • Proficient skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Thorough understanding of online marketing strategies, landing page and SEO optimization, mobile strategies, and search engine marketing
  • Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS coding
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to come up with new, creative solutions
  • Prioritizes and completes tasks with a concern for all the details involved; monitors and checks work for accuracy
  • Easily adapts to change in responsibilities, work processes, timeframes, performance expectations, organizational culture or work environment
  • Must be self-directed and effective working independently, yet equally comfortable contributing in a team environment
  • HTML, CSS, CMS or other technical coding applications
  • Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • (Premier and/or other video & animation software a plus)
  • Stay abreast of industry digital innovations/software
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Communication Skills both written and verbal
  • Able to work within a team as well as independently
  • Organization skills
